About the Course
This course introduces learners to three essential areas of information technology: Linux operating systems, basic programming concepts, and foundational networking principles. It is designed to provide a broad technical foundation for individuals beginning their journey in computing, software development, and network technologies.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of working with the Linux operating system, including navigating the command line, managing files and directories, and understanding basic system operations. The course also introduces core programming concepts such as variables, control structures, and logical problem-solving, helping learners understand how software is developed. In addition, participants will explore the basic principles of computer networking, including network components, communication protocols, and how devices connect and exchange data.
Through guided practical activities and hands-on exercises, learners will develop the foundational skills needed to work with operating systems, understand programming logic, and recognise how computer networks function. By the end of the course, participants will have a solid introduction to key IT concepts and will be prepared to progress into more specialised areas of technology and computing.
