This course introduces learners to the operational aspects of cybersecurity and the skills required to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats within organisational networks. It focuses on the role of cybersecurity analysts in protecting digital infrastructure and maintaining the security of information systems.
Participants will explore key topics such as security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and the use of security tools and technologies commonly employed in Security Operations Centres (SOCs). The course also introduces concepts such as network traffic analysis, system vulnerabilities, malware behaviour, and security event management.
Through guided practical activities and real-world cybersecurity scenarios, learners will develop an understanding of how security professionals analyse and respond to cyber incidents.
