In other to increase students access to learning resources and provide a good learning environment, the Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL) is in partnership with the library of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to provide current and trending resources to students.
Centre Director ACETEL, Prof. Grace Jokthan in an interview said, the move was to provide latest and trending books on topics that are relevant to the research focus of the Centre in other to enhance research and knowledge of the students.
Jokthan added that the Centre was also able to subscribe to other data bases for the usage of all students of NOUN irrespective of the area of focus of the Centre.
”The data bases will enable students access learning resources at any place and any time. This is expected to improve the research output and knowledge of faculty and students
“We were also able to subscribe to other data bases that will be useful to all students in the university (NOUN). This effort is not only restrictive to those in the area of research focus of the Centre, but it is a wide range of reading materials for students in the university”.
Jokthan added that the gesture is the Centre’s contribution towards ensuring students gets not only materials, but the latest and trending resources in their field of study.
